Public Transport to Amsterdam

If you decide to visit Amsterdam we advise you to leave the car on the long-stay parking place and take the bus to Amsterdam Central Station.
In the little supermarket (SPAR) in the village (2 minutes walk) bustickets (Strippencards) are sold.
Buying cards in a shop is cheaper than buying them in the bus.
What you have left from the card, we buy from you, so don't hesitate to buy a large strippencard.
For young children and 65+ persons there are cards for a reduced price.
We give now some weblinks about the prices of the cards and how to handle them.
Also a lot of information is to be found concerning the bus/tram/metro lines in Amsterdam.

For one person 4 strips are needed to go to and even travel on in the central area of Amsterdam.
The validity of 4 strips is one hour and that is sufficient to reach popular destinations such as all musea.
On the way back make sure that you mark the 4th strip and show the busdriver of the ARRIVA bus that you have enough strips to travel on.
